Since we have a better record on the road...we can start off with a 3 game win in NY . Let's conquer CA first.

There's not really that much difference in the road records - now the home records.....

I'm in charge of the Yankee tickets for my office (man, if I can only clip some but sadly they are only for clients), so I have the whole schedule. The American League has the home field advantage by virtue of winning the All Star Game, so Games 1, 2, 6 and 7 are at the American League park and Games 3, 4, and 5 are at the National League park.

I did ask my boss who's in charge of the tickets if I could have a set and I had to practically sell my soul to convince him to give them to me. You would think it would be a "given" because I handle this stuff for him - nope!!! After I "presented my case" (by e-mail no less), he responded with "ok, you deserve it." Gee, thanks a lot. And the game that I went to they lost and was a boring game...

Love the way you think, Mindi!!
Funny how there's no in-between teams this year.....two on the west coast and two on the east coast and both in close proximity to one another.
Of course, the series could wind up just being a west coast 'freeway series' this year too (of course, I hope not!).

There's a whole bunch of possibilities this year - the freeway series, the series reuniting the Yanks with Joe Torre, the Phillies/Yanks (Turnpike/Amtrak series LOL?). We'll have to see how this plays out! One of the attorneys in my office is a massive Red Sox fan and I just said to her "I haven't harrassed you yet" and she said she told her 8 year old, who of course is also a Sox fan, that they let the Angels win because they have a better record against the Yanks, so it will guarantee the Yanks won't get into the Series. Hmmmfff......

Now he's got the right team.... Well, now that you've defaced that photo, I'm not posting any more. You totally killed my photo-posting buzz and I was only up to about 2002. Not to mention, you really need to do a better job in Photoshop.... the hat is too big for his head. LMAO! Unless somebody else did that for you, in which case, you need to tell them they're crap at photoshopping. Plus, you're not even really a baseball fan, you bandwagon jumper, you. *ducks*

OMG Mindi......this photo is a riot. Don't mind that the cap looks big....it works!! Question for you -- May I please share it with a few of my Phillie fan friends (only those who also like Hugh Jackman would understand -- and probably would only be about 5 or 6 of them at best) And if not, that's OK too. Just wanted to ask first. I love it! And Tug McG was such an inspiration to baseball -- Mets and Phillies!

Oh, thanks a bunch!...and I will let them know it was a Yankee cap first and foremost (but this is National League territory anyway, so don't think they'd even think it was anything other than a Phillies cap!!! HA!)
Enjoy the game tonight.

So Kristin, naturally I went to bed in the 10th inning last night! It so pissed me off that they didn't score and it was late for me I just shut the TV off convinced they were going to lose the game (I am such a pessimist!).

It so pissed me off that they didn't score and it was late for me I just shut the TV off convinced they were going to lose the game (I am such a pessimist!). I went to sleep after Mo got the last out in the 8th - and then I couldn't sleep, so I turned it back on in the 11th just in time to see Chone Figgins get his stupid hit that put the Angels up 3-2, and then I watched the bottom of the 11th and they said A-Rod was due up next and I thought, no way can he do it again. He takes the first two pitches (I think, he might have swung at the second one) and he's all Mr. Cool and then the next thing you know, he's running all the bases. Insane. Then the way the game ended was just unbelievable. What a game.

The postgame is repeated on YES at 11:30 so I'm watching that. I've seen most of the highlights I think. They just pissed me off the whole game that they weren't scoring! One of the cynical fans posted on a MB that Alex is doing so well because he missed the first month of the season and he thinks it's still September.
