Congrats! vivian: I am not And probably never will be as my mum keeps saying ;D I think I am just too selfish and self-centered to have a child *shrugs* But my brother already has a kid so I am off the hook. ;D LOL, there are no selfless person, still many manage to become great parents. I'm still young, but old enough to start thinking about family life. It's all about will and determination and some degree of self-sacrifice.

I was just sharing my WTF? moment with a bunch of 'girl friends'. Trust me, I'm still feeling like I'm not grown up enough yet. Apparently I am, especially considering I had my eldest at 21. My eldest is having her first at what will be 25and1/2. You all single ladies, smile smugly. You're on a different but perfectly wonderful life-trajectory. To each is own path.

My daughter Kellie is asking for any and all cures for 'morning sickness', which for her strikes between 4 and 7 pm. I gave her my suggestions but I bet a bunch of you have some ideas and experience for what works or doesn't. Thanks from G-ma Dee

I think my sickness was worst when I was late eating so I assume it was related to low blood sugar levels. By the time I'd fed my toddler and got my lunch I often felt too sick to eat. So a piece of toast or plain biscuit mid-morning helped. (I think "graham crackers" is the US equivalent).
A friend had very severe morning sicknes but she found she could eat a cooked lunch if she didn't have to smell it cooking.

Toast and saltines were a big favorite, any time of day.

Congrats on becoming a grandma! Now, all the ladies on the board are actually mums??? Even Irene? Lol, I am not a mom, yet. It's my brother and sis in law, my niece that I was referring to. Trust me, I'm not going to be a mom any time soon.

oh btw, long over due update. Ultrasound says BLUE. Bryker Charles Wright is due June 17th. I'm flying to Cincinnati on the 16th and staying for 10 days. I get the honor of being Kellie's doula though I plan on keeping daddy Jerrod front and center as long as he can handle it. That little guy better be on time before I have to head home and back to work.
Anybody on the forum live near Cinci? If so, shall we do lunch or something?

Thanks, sweetie. Crossing my fingers all goes smooth and to plan between now and b-day. If Bryker doesn't make his appearance when I'm there, I'm going to be beyond bummed.

Latest update; fresh from the OB/GYN appt. Kellie's dilated 1 cm and slightly effaced. Yikes, my plane tickets aren't 'til the 16th June. Non-changeable, non refundable so I'm skunked if she does go early.
