Richard Armitage is so hot with the beard. LOL! For a moment there, I thought it was Hugh.

I loved the show when I saw it with the original cast on broadway. Anne would do well but I think the role is too small for her. Tom Cruise - sure there will be a lot of buzz around it and he will be entertaining, but ... oh well. It is just a movie. With this cast they are shooting for the success of Mama mia.

I adored Richard Armitage in Spooks (known as MI5 in the USA) and he was so cute in the Vicar of Dibley when he married the vicar! He really does resemble Hugh in many ways - similar height and build as well as the facial similarities. I think he was also in the BBC series of Robin Hood (but I never watched it).

Armitage's Gisborne, so complicated and full of shades of grey in his character, was the only reason I kept tuning in to BBC America to watch "Robin Hood." And he was adorable as the shy accountant who falls for the spunky vicar.

When you talk about Richard Armitage - I fell for an old UK TV show recently, Blake´s 7 and I love Paul Darrow in the role of Avon. I came across some articles, where a remake was mentioned but it didn´t happen (and I am glad it didn´t). I also read something about the possible casting (back then) and Richard Armitage was considered for the role of Avon. Until that moment, I thought that Darrow is irreplaceble, but I really believe that Armitage would handle it. So maybe if they would get the crazy idea to remake it, then he is my nr. 1 choice (But I hope they won´t remake it - confusing, I know ) He has the same gift as Darrow - to steal the show under the nose of the main character (I have no idea who plays Robin Hood in the new Robin Hood )

My friend insists that Alex O'Loughlin looks like Hugh. I am not sure. similarities in physique and complexion, hair color, I agree. But that's all. Hugh's better looking. I'll say Alex goes on my top ten list; #3 or #4. I have to add - Hawaii 5-0 is a damn good series and it's no detriment that I get a weekly dose of Alex versus a every 2 years or so of Hugh in the media. Take that any way you like.

Zadan and Meron were the two who were involved when Hugh had that "three-picture movie musical deal" with Disney years ago that went kaput.

"How to Succeed in Business" was one of the musicals which Hugh starred in as a teenager at Knox Grammar School, along with "My Fair Lady". The female lead in MFL was the school captain at my old school who just happened to be the girlfriend of the leading man !! I've seen photos in old school magazines.

Yeah, they were producers on Chicago as well. I read that Nina Jacobson, prexy of Disney at the time, came to see Hugh's boy from oz and loved it. A deal was soon struck with Zadan/Meron on board. Then she was abruptly fired in 2006 during her maternity leave. Zadan and Meron were the two who were involved when Hugh had that "three-picture movie musical deal" with Disney years ago that went kaput.

Matthew Morrison is getting great reviews for his one man show. Triple threat, random song selection needing a tighter theme, show tunes and ends with Somewhere Over the Rainbow. Sound familiar? NPH isn't the only competition in town. www.talkinbroadway.com/allthatchat/d.php?id=1997627

Matthew Morrison has been performing in London. I happened to tune into John Barrowman's tv show and he arranged for a young Glee fan to meet and sing with MM. JB's another one. Perhaps it's a new wave of entertainers.

Yet I don't think Hugh's show had to be comped. Given all his relatively newfound TV popularity, I was surprised that Morrison's show was indeed papered. I was thinking of taking the papering service up on a ticket out of curiosity and to compare, even though I'm not very keen on him, but I had a family obligation last evening.

It almost looks like Hugh gets the apprectiation for his "triple threat" abilities thanks to this new wave. It´s a little annoying, actually, because we could say "he was here first" ( ;D) but I like all these guys and it´s not entirely true so I am not going to say that
