I had an HP Photosmart printer that I LOVED (ask LT and Mindi, it printed the most vibrant-colored photos (of Hugh, ha ha) for a home printer) and it kicked the bucket last summer. It wasn't an all-in-one, it was just a photo printer. So I went the route of buying a new all-in-one "photo" printer in which the icc profiles were never correct and the colors were not good (I do a lot of scrapbooking, so I want the prints to come out at least half-way decent), but at least the scanner is awesome on it. So then I got another printer from my sister which was better (and didn't cost me anything), but still not right.
Then I went and bought a used HP Photosmart on Amazon.com that was about three models after the one I bought, so it has a few more bells and whistles than the one I had, like networking and a touch screen, and the colors are once again fantastic, and since I don't have much to be excited about these days, right now, I'm happier than a pig in s**t. And the new photo of Hugh I have taped to the sliding glass door behind my desk looks simply loverly, LOL.
I think I get too attached to my electronic devices though.

Ultimately it all merges into one rolling blur of avoiding the mamajuana.
