C'mon Phils....I really want to see a Phillies / Yankees series. I know you all want a Dodgers / Yankees series though.

Tonight we're playing like defending champs.

This game is incredible! Agreed -- they really are looking like the champs! Cliff Lee is so cool and composed. Love the way he runs to the dugout after a third out. They're such fun to watch.

Saw two Yahoo sportswriters on line....one says it will be Dodgers/Yankees and the other says Phillies/Yankees. (Sad to say, but they both said the Yankees would win the series. ) It's anybody's guess.

That was tough top of the 8th, even with a 6, then 5 run lead.
C'mon Brad, close it out!

Nice win for the Phils there. Lidge did his part, Mindi, very nicely, I might add. First half of I-95 series - check. Second half of I-95 series - tune in tomorrow.

Yes he did and I didn't even have to hold my breath or yell at the TV. I'm sure the second half of the I-95 series will be complete tomorrow.

Agreed! It should be determined tomorrow. Mindi -- bet you're glad your ASR ticket was for the matinee and not the evening performance -- could have hindered your fandom!!
These Phils are HOT right now....hope they don't lose their momentum. We can sleep happy!!
(YKW deserves a real red "P" cap now!)

Mindi at least you can still watch - I can't even do that. I've been either watching the games through Gamecast on the computer on ESPN to take a peek at what's going on and turn on the TV accordinging or flipping stations - I just can't watch - you'd think I was a wife or something.
So you can imagine what I will be like tonight.

I don't watch all that well and it's ususally with one eye open. While I've always loved the Phils, I'm not a huge baseball fan in general, there's just too many games in a season. You should see me during a Giants game though. Football is my game.

It's tough being a Giants fan in Philadelphia, but it's better than being a Cowboys fan.

It's tough being a Giants fan in Charger territory. Of course, of late, the Chargers couldn't beat their way out of a paper bag. Sad.
And, by the way, Phillys were fab last nite!! I just have one thing to say - GO YANKEES!!!!

Crap, now I can't go to bed after them scoring six runs (good thing I decided to wait) - have to see if the Yanks pull this out!
But I'm still watching through Gamecast and not TV unless they score, I know, I'm bad.......

No way are the Yankees going to lose two games at home. I think it'll be set on Saturday though.

Man, when they took the lead I thought that was it, and then I figured for sure there was another comback in the ninth and that's when Swish would come out of his slump. But I know, they were just waiting to get back to NY. They better not lose Saturday and they have Pettitte pitching and he's won some huge games for them in the past, especially in the playoffs. At least it looks like Tex is coming out of it. And the Stadium will be LOUD.

I think the Yanks are doing this delibertely just to tease Kristin until their big "nick of time" triumph.

I think the Yanks are doing this delibertely just to tease Kristin until their big "nick of time" triumph. Yeah, well, they're giving me an ulcer. The "nick of time" thing (no pun intended to Nick Swisher who made the last out) didn't work last night - on a 3-2 pitch bases loaded!!!!!!! I thought they would pull it out when they scored those six runs and went ahead....
