You had me worried for a minute but Australia, Van Helsing, The Fountain and Deception can't compare with those kind of numbers.

Oh C'mon, there's hundreds of films that are far worse than anything Hugh has been in.

The Avengers has a Rotten Tomatoes rating of 93% which means it was better reviewed than the majority of last year's BP nominees.

They're spot-on with the critque of "The Producers". I liked Will Ferrell and Uma Thurman but the rest of the cast were awful, just far too hammy. I remember loving the original film.

Maybe there is a chance for another Serenity movie yet! I know there are comic books but books can never catch the atmosphere of the original show. I like that, for example Farscape, that I love as well, goes on in the comic-book series but the live thing is always better. Too bad that actors, unlike their characters, get old, so the stories would have to be adjusted a little to that. Veronica Mars is, sadly, a show I never really cared about but it is definitely a good sign.

I wonder who they will cast to play the convicts. I know an Aussie star who's had some good experience perfecting the convict look recently and might like to spend some more time at home !!!!!! Cheers.

Can't believe they would go with Streep unless they just think they need the name. If it is a great actress of that caliber, then why not one who can actually sing. Glenn Close would be great in the role and she actually has a voice worth hearing.

Although she sang the light fluff of ABBA in MAMMA MIA, Meryl Streep studied opera as a teenager and originally planned a career as a serious singer. So I think she'll do all right, assuming she's been keeping up with her voice lessons. Glenn Close has a fine voice, too, heard to good effect in BARNUM, SUNSET BLVD and a TV movie version of SOUTH PACIFIC. Actually, either of them would make a fine witch (no character judgments implied, LOL), even though they are both a little older than those who normally play that role.
