Is anyone else watching Wimbledon? At this point, Isner and Mahut are playing the ONE HUNDRED TENTH game in the fifthe set. It's 54-55 in the fifth. Unreal.

I would love to watch but I don´t have where. :(I have nothing against football, I watch the World Cup but it is everywhere right now and our players are not even there. I would prefer to watch Tomáš Berdych and his effort to repeat the French Open success.
I am curious if there will be also some surprises as at the French Open where many favorites failed.

OMG CATH!!!! Today is day 1 of my internship and when it was over, I went back to the hotel room and saw that it was on and watched it until they called it quits because it was too late. AMAZING though, man the stamina displayed is absolutely crazy. I went back to the hotel room to sleep but couldn't look away or close my eyes! And having played so much tennis all through my life, it truly amazed me.

I'm a big tennis fan too and played a lot in my younger days.Normally I would be watching, but today has been a very big news day for Australia.
At the same time Wimbledon was on our Socceroos were fighting for a place in the next round of the World Cup. Unfortunately it was not to be, a win against Serbia was not enough to get them through, due to their big loss to Germany in the first match. I wonder whether Hugh was able to take a break from filming to watch. It would have been on at about 1pm US East Coast time.
An hour or two later, history was made when a political "coup" resulted in our Prime Minister Kevin Rudd being thrown out of office by his party and replaced by our first female Prime Minister, Julia Gillard.
I heard about the marathon tennis match as I was driving to work.
Being a bit of a news "junkie" I would have loved to have been able to stay at home today to watch the unfolding action but unfortunately I need to work to pay the bills and save for my next Broadway visit whenever that may be !!
Cheers

I've swung a racquet about three times in my life, but I'm an avid fan. The match is remarkable for stamina and concentration more than for extraordinary shot-making, but after that long just being able to make the shots at all is amazing. I have to go out just as they are to restart the match so I'll have to set the recorder and avoid the news until I get home. I expect that they'll be finished by that time, but who knows?!
Although I know nothing about her political views, it's cool that you have a female PM. I heard the news but not the whole story. Was this a surprise?
