Edit 06/25/2011:
Hey everyone,
A few guidelines I'd like to mention:
Cross Posting:
Until I can figure out a better system, please try to:
1. Make sure you are posting the proper content in the proper board. If it's photos, make sure that it's posted in a photo thread. If it's non-spoiler film discussion, make sure it's posted in the proper thread, spoilers in the spoiler threads, etc.
2. Do your best to check in the thread that you want to post photos, links, articles, discussion topics, etc, making sure that what you're posting or starting a thread about hasn't already been posted or had it's own thread. For example, last year, I started a board for all Twitter-related Hugh stuff - nobody used it, and now there's a newer thread started on another board - even though when I created the other one, I asked that all Twitter stuff go in there. Since nobody used the one I created for that purpose, I deleted it. So from now on, all threads that get created with the same subject/topic as an existing thread will be edited to link to the existing thread and locked so there aren't any posts allowed in it.
I realize there are several boards/threads on this forum, and it can get confusing. I'm just trying to keep the forum from being even more clogged than it already is.
Duplicate threads/topics:
Please just take a moment to make sure if what you are posting has not already been posted. If you post the same thing as someone else at virtually the same time, that's not really an issue. What I'm talking about is posting something that's been posted hours or days before that has the same information, links, etc. Again, just to keep the board from getting too clogged.
Flaming:
Please take care to construct all opinions in a manner that is not considered "flaming" or an attack against another poster. We all have different opinions on things, none are right or wrong. If you disagree, please take a moment to think about how you can respond in a constructive way without being offensive or rude to another poster. Flame wars will not be tolerated.
Accepted Languages:
For our International guests & members, the only accepted language on this board is English. Please keep that in mind when posting (the occasional posting in other languages is accepted, although I have no idea if the text is 100% supported by Proboards).
Submissions:
If you have video, audio, web articles or magazine articles to share, please pass them on to hjfkristin@gmail.com (Conversely, feel free to either PM me or see below). I will be implementing a new template for posting these multimedia items, in order to make the board more uniform, and to try to have the largest, most organized resource for Hugh Jackman stuff on the Internet. You can send anything you like, or you can just simply follow the guidelines of the posts (Instructions for posting these items will be posted) when I have these threads up and running the way I'd like them to be. Also, feel free to request anything, one of our members should be able to locate it or point you in the direction of whatever it is you're looking for. Did I mention we're also helpful fans?
Until I get those threads ready for posts, as always, feel free to post anything you find in an appropriate thread.
Public Threads:
In an effort to include ALL fans of Hugh in this forum, I have made the following six boards visible to all guests:
Stuff You Need To Know (the announcements board)
Wave Hello (the introduction board)
Hugh News
Upcoming Film News
Potential/Rumored Project News
Upcoming Television/Theater/Miscellaneous News
This is generally information that can be found everywhere, so really, it's not all that interesting, other than our own opinions about these news items. As always, I will let everyone know when and if this changes. At the moment however, the rest of the threads are PRIVATE, and only registered members can read them.
Thanks,
Kristin
