Rationalization, anyone? Sounds more like Oldman may be projecting his own views onto "everybody" in order to diminish the stench of his own. Another fave scratched.

This guy is going to self-destruct: Sheesh, sounds like he already has! I love this quote, I think he was mistaken about exactly whose career he is going to ruin.

He must have been drunk and/or high on something, but this behavior is just inexcusable just because somebody is famous and has "millions and millions of dollars and lawyers". Alan Cumming, such a pro. As an extreme aside, we're hoping to catch Cabaret when we're in NY next weekend. Presumably, Shia will not be allowed back in!

Maybe if everyone who was in the audience for Shia's "performance" could sue him for ruining their evening. They all must have shelled out hundreds of dollars just to be there. A big hit to the pocketbook can sometimes get the attention of one of these, self-centered, overly entitled brats. In any case, it is definitely time for a long vacation out of the public eye.

I am not sure what is going with him. I never thought he was exceptionally gifte actor but he was likeable enough and I have a soft spot for his movie "Eagle Eye" (mostly because Michelle Mohagan is in it Maybe he spent too much time with Transformers....I know he did some smaller, more independent projects but I don´t think this behaviour is carreer related. He may have some other problems...alcohol, drugs, some psychological problems. Only he knows. *shrugs* Meanwhile,I am developing a massive crush on Peter Capaldi - the new Doctor

This is awesome. We're familiar with Hugh's X-Men audition clip, which makes a quick appearance, but the others are wonderful too.

Just read the shocking news in Variety. Can't reproduce the link. So sad.

I'm having a hard time even grasping it. All I can think is damn it, he shouldn't be dead. I know he struggled with addiction at times, but still, to have such a soaring talent silenced seems unfair. I guess we should be happy he entertained us as long as he did. I've started following Cush Jumbo on Twitter, and she had this to say:
Cush Jumbo @cushjumbo 28m It's weird to think your kids will know a world without Nelson Mandela, Michael Jackson or Robin Williams. How to even begin to explain...

I was so taken aback I didn't stop to think I should have posted this under Other Actors. Somehow General Chitchat sounds highly disrespectful. Sorry; that didn't register with me an hour ago.

With all the resources in the world available to help him, it's so sad to realize that it wasn't enough. There isn't always a magic pill. I feel so bad for his family and friends.

Seems like the world of social media exploded with grief and shock last night as most everybody shared their thoughts and memories. Here are those from a few of the (mostly quite young) cast and crew working on Pan, most of whom probably woke up to the news: Phill Martin @bigphillmartin 7h RIP Robin Williams. Brittany @britttanyjade 8h "You're only given a little spark of madness. You mustn't lose it." #RIPRobinWilliams Darren Fenny @darrenfenny · 7h Still can't believe it! Only saw you a few months ago @robinwilliams it just doesn't seem real. RIP Bronson Webb @bronson_webb · 13h Sad news... What a great actor he was rest in peace robin Williams Bronson Webb @bronson_webb 3h Robin Williams #IMDb Legend !! Take a look and be inspired ... www.imdb.com/name/nm0000245/Giacomo Mancini @giacomomancini8 3h "No Matter What People Tell You, Words And Ideas Can Change The World." #RIPRobinWilliams, Such Sad News. Abbie Sheridan @abbiesheridan 2h Genuinely really upset about #RobinWilliams, what a legend Abbie Sheridan @abbiesheridan 1h Even more upset that he won't get to see the film "Pan" which I'm pretty sure without "Hook", it wouldn't being filming right now.
