I want to clear up some misconceptions some people have about this place.
1. Even though at the beginning, I was bitchy about the Ozalots here, I'm not publicly voicing my opinions about them or any other fan groups here any longer. Therefore, I think that's something that needs to be put to rest. It's also not a reflection of anyone else here, so the other members of this board should not be criticized as a whole for my past behavior.
2. If you feel unwelcome here, please, please let me know. You can PM me, I promise to answer and address any problems you're having.
3. Please try not to post here just to criticize the opinions of other posters. We get some of that here, and it's unpleasant. If you feel the need to criticize the people, please do it elsewhere. Don't go assuming there's some clique here because you're posting infrequently and then when you do post something that's critical or bitchy, get upset because you're not being let into some inner circle of fans here. That's not it at all. It's that people who only post negatively aren't getting responses to their posts because most people don't want to end up in a flame war.
Also, what kind of response do you want to "I agree" or "That was really nice." or anything else innocuous like that? "I agree" really isn't a discussion point; please don't expect it to be, and don't be offended when nobody posts in response. They're not ignoring you, but you can't really discuss a comment like that, can you?
4. If you have a problem with this forum, or me specifically, I ask that you either discuss it with me privately or one of the other moderators. Don't air your grievance on another forum. It's not an appropriate thing to do, and the people on that other forum probably do not care.
5. Finally, nobody is required to post. I would do everying possible to make everyone be more outgoing and post, but I realize that's not possible, some don't have the time or want to do it. That's fine, but I do encourage you to jump in when you feel like it, always, and you won't be ignored, I promise, as long as you treat everyone else with respect.
Thanks,
Kristin. Or Kirstin. Or Kristine. Or Kristina. Call me what ever you want, just don't call me late for dinner. Yuk, yuk. (Ellen, get out of my head.)
