There's lots of changes, and I'm tweaking away, but for now, the most important things are the most recent posts are still at the bottom in the info box under " recent posts", although it only seems to be showing a few of them and the calendar entries, which is strange. Also, you now log in using your email address (nobody can see this but you, so don't worry about privacy) and your same password. If you're having problems, either post here or while I'm online, you can use the Shoutbox at the bottom of the page to ask for help.

I would also suggest going into your profiles and checking or unchecking the notifications that you want or don't want, otherwise, you might end up not getting emails that you want, or getting emails about everything. There's much more individual control over that in this version.

There is also the ability to "like" posts, just like on Facebook. It's the little "thumbs up" icon in the upper right of each post.

Okay, so here's the deal: Besides ProBoards wanting a "global" login for all members, and the fact that it will only show the 10 most recent posts, which is annoying, the homepage of this forum is now an "info" page. It shows your profile, where you can post a status update, your notifications, your most recent PMs (nobody can see your PMs but you), the calendar and the search bar. To bypass this, you must change your bookmark to hughjackmanforum.proboards.com/forum and you'll automatically load the index page (what used to be the homepage). Otherwise, you just click "forum" above your profile and you'll be taken to the index page. There's nothing I can do about the number of recent posts right now. Ten is the max. There's also the "recent threads" option next to "recent posts" and that has a max of 20. I wish they'd rethink that, but until they do, that's what we've got. They're making all forums convert to this version in April, and maybe I should have waited, but I didn't, and so there you are. Also, on the index page, if you click the title bars (like "Hugh News"), they are collapsible, so you can hide the ones you don't want to see.

Is the mobile site different? I use safari on my phone, not the app. On my iPhone, i don't get any sub board headers on the home page or the forum skin. It looks like a generic pro boards site.

I had no problems to log in, I just changed my password. I don't use the "recent postings" thingy, so it doesn't bother me if it doesn't work anymore like it did before. lol I haven't figured out the new features, but in general it looks fine. Maybe I'm blind, but I can't find the preview function of a posting. ?? Anyway, thanks Kristin, for all your work here in the forum.

Again, I don't know why they changed that, but as far as I can see, there's no option to preview a post.

I have no idea. I use the ProBoards app, so it's always been different. I'll check it out on my iPad and see what it looks like. Here's something new - if you type @ followed by the member's name (no spaces), they get notified that you've directly responded to their post.

I believe the best thing about this upgrade is that everybody's avatars show up much larger now. No complaints about seeing pictures of Hugh all over the place that are a little bit larger. (which reminds me, I need to try and find myself one!)

I'm in the process of making some avatars that will be available for everyone to use.

I read the board on my iPod too. If you scroll down you can choose to view it as the desktop version and then it will look like it does on a computer. Otherwise, it looks much differenton the mobile version.

Okay Mindi, what you do is scroll down to the bottom of the mobile site and click on "desktop" and that should take you out of the mobile site.
