Why is it when I put something away for "safekeeping" I can never remember where I put it? Because all that does is make me tear through my closet (the usual suspect for hiding things) only to NOT find the thing I was looking for, but finding 8,000 other things I either forgot I had or I had been looking for months ago?
I think I have early onset dementia or something.
So now, I get to spend the next two days with crap spilling out of my closet and boxes and clothes all around my room because I don't have off again until Wednesday when I can finish looking and then put all the stuff I took out of there back.
I hate being unorganized. I have to find some sort of new method because the current system of "putting things in any available space" just isn't working. The thing is, I'm looking for my Christmas cards; the ones I didn't send last year, because I figured, "Eh, I've got three boxes of cards I've never even used, no point in buying more" save-a-buck kind of thing since I'm strapped for cash right now. If I don't find them by Thursday, off to Hallmark I go, because I am determined to get them out this year.
If you would like me to send you a card, PM me with your address and I will do!
But on a more positive note, I have put twinkle lights and garland around my desk at work. It's very Christmasy. Maybe it will keep me from being a Grinch.

I lost my set of keys with TBFO keychain, house key, office key, pickup truck key and mini-flashlight at least two years ago. I've been in mourning ever since. But this is a big house. There's always hope.........sometimes I think they're somewhere inside the truck, fallen into some unknown crevasse.

We lost a set of car keys recently too. We were hoping they'd turn up as we were tearing the house apart for the annual "JR's not here, let's throw out all the shit he's accumulated" process, but no luck. They've vanished entirely.

I lost my car keys at the gym recently. I can only figure that I must have accidentaly flushed them somehow. It cost almost $100 to get new ones. I was upset for three weeks at just the thought that I could have been so careless.
