I got my hands on a copy of Anansi Boys by Neil Gaiman, and can hardly wait to read it, but I vowed I would finish Deathly Hallows first... have any of you read Anansi Boys? Is it as totally awesome as it looks?

I've read it. I luuuurve Mister Neil but I have to say Anansi Boys was not my favourite. Still a damn good read with some great moments in it, but just not quite my *favourite*. But do not less this dissuade you because... well, it's Gaiman. Anansi Boys was kind of like... American Gods Lite. They're two very different books that just happen to have a slight overlap of existance. American Gods is still very definitely the better novel, but Anansi Boys is distinctly more accessable.

It's OK, Kristin, this would be my first as well...
Thanks, LT. I'll use this as a practice run for American Gods then ;D

I think Neverwhere was the first of his books I read, after the BBC made their adaptation of it.

I'll stick to Jim Butcher thanx.... *shameless plug? what? I see no shameless plug here.*
