I wonder when Hugh will have his ceremony and if there's a statute of limitations on the timeframe of when the ceremony has to be done after the announcement of getting it. I wonder if it will be for the premiere of Real Steel.I have vague memory of it being three years. After that you have to re-apply.

I've just looked up the "Walk of Fame" rules and it's five years. I assume it was mostly paid for by Fox, so maybe they'll wait for Wolverine 2 in 2012. The Grauman hand & foot prints trumped it as that's far more exclusive.
I'm torn by Robin Hood. It represents a lot of effort from hundreds of people so I should wish it all the best and yet I really don't want Russell Crowe to have a hit. It comes out the week after Iron Man 2.

Lol Wombat, you know how I feel about Crowe, hahahaaaa. I was quite excited and thought great, Crowe is going back to his "Gladiator" roots and this should be a long needed hit for him.
BTW I finally saw Moon, I thought it was good, quite odd and I'm not a big Sci Fi fan to begin with but for what it was, I thought it was greatly original and good stuff. Finally saw The Hurt Locker and thought it was great as well, though I don't know if it's just me or are movies ending quite similarly lately? THL ending reminded me a lot of The Wrestler, as well as Up in the Air.

I saw Clash of the Titans last week since I loved the original one. I saw the regular version, not the converted one to 3D since that's supposed to be awful. I don't *get* what's so great about Sam Worthington - he does nothing for me and his Aussie accent kept creeping in a lot. The movie wasn't that similar to the first movie and I definitely liked the original better. Your icon is hilarious! Saw Clash of the Titans today, and I thought it was pretty awesome! Nothing deep or thought-provoking in it, but as adventure/fantasy, it perfectly fulfills its destiny. The imagination and effects are praise-worthy, the story engaging, the characters enjoyable. That's something that can be said about only a handful movies these days. If there is a message in this movie, it's probably a celebration of the human species and a reminder that no one is perfect, not even gods. The actor who was the villain in Casino Royale gave a pretty cool performance! And why is Ralph Fiennes always so believable as the bad guy? LOL As for Sam Worthington, I don't think he is perfect for this role. He is too young and fresh-looking, does not have that ruggedness, that masculinity, that demi-god look! He is much more like the cute and sunny boy next door. And surprisingly there were no jaw-dropping beautiful women in this movie, so that's something I missed, real goddesses.

I know this is a "good movie" thread. But I can't help complaining that I saw the Bounty Hunter and it was so booring I thought I was going to fall asleep. I was pretty disappointed because I've always liked Jennifer Aniston and she was still really great in the movie. But the story was really lame and the movie was too long. And Gerard Butler doesn't really do anything for me. Australia was too long as well in my oppinion and it got a tad booring at the end. But I could still sit forever and look at Hugh doing nothing at all. But Gerard Butler really doesn't have that charm...

I just watched "A Single Man" and what a BEAUTIFULLLLLLy shot, glossy, ultimately sad film. It has a WONDERFUL performance, really great one by Colin Firth. But man this movie was so great to look at, eye candy all the way. Makes me really want Hugh to do a movie with Tom Ford because really, Hugh would never look as beautiful. Ford really knows how to shoot a person and this movie is just all about attractive. The story itself is a sad one, but very well told and you feel for Firth's character.

I can't agree with you more. I saw this movie last year at the Chicago movie festival and it totally blew me away. One of my favorite movies from last year and one of best GLBT themed movies. It was sensual, delicate and heartbreaking. Colin Firth was incredible in his performance and totally deserved his Venice win and BAFTA. When I was watching that movie i couldn't help thinking what Hugh was going to do in that role, or how wonderful it is going to be if he can work with Tom. I still remember at the Vanity Fair 07 party where Hugh chatted with Tom and Tom seemed quite interested in him. :-) I just watched "A Single Man" and what a BEAUTIFULLLLLLy shot, glossy, ultimately sad film. What is this 07 chat you talk about Lucia? I think I might have missed that. The only thing I do know is that Hugh wears Ford's ties, probably other things as well. But man how amazing would Hugh look in a movie done by Ford, he would give Baz a fun for his money.

I am catching up with some movies I overlooked. I noticed a movie with Ellen Page "An American crime". I didn´t like Page in "Juno" (well, I didn´t like that movie) but this was...I mean, I am never, ever going to watch this again. Not because it was a bad movie, on the contrary, but the topic (based on the real event) was so disturbing and so...contemporary (even with the story set in 1965) that it is nothing I would like to see again. But it was very well done as a movie, with an atmosphere, a very good acting and all, but...yeah, a good movie but not for people who are crying at baby commercials...

I just saw The Proposal for like the third time. I love this movie! Ryan Reynolds is such a hottie and he's so cute in this.

I agree, great film. Proves that a good rom-com can be made today, and he's been in a few of the recent good ones, like "Definitely, Maybe" as well. I would love to see Hugh return to rom-com, but as long as it's fresh and new.

I would love to see Hugh return to rom-com, but as long as it's fresh and new. Or at least with someone he had chemistry with. Which is an old debate but it remains relevant.

It's beyond relevant, the reason I find Paperback Hero so enjoyable.

This isn't a movie but I just started with "The Vicar of Dibley" on Netflix and am loving it. The internet tells me the show started in 1994. So how long do I have to wait for Richard Armitage to show up? I can wait forever........
Love the Beeb.

Armitage shows up in the very last 2 episodes (and a short charity special with Sting) but the whole thing really isn't that long. Given as UK sitcoms usually only have 6 episodes per season and some of the Dibley ones only had 4 (plus a few christmas/charity specials) you won't really have that long to wait.
