Watched the first episode of Daredevil, out on Netflix today, and I'm on board. Really enjoying Charlie Cox in the lead role. I forgot about it, until my colleague at work started about it. The whole thing is out, right? Because Netflix has always the complete tv shows out.

Yes, all the episodes are out although I haven't watched any others yet because my husband just doesn't care for super hero shows, and we're ensconced in several other shows at the moment (Mad Men, Game of Thrones, still getting through the new season of House of Cards ... would like to check out Wolf Hall, etc etc).

I am at episode 4 and I think you can tell your husband that this is only a vaguely superhero show. It is great and I am surprised how different it is from all the Marvel stuff they have done until now. It is *really* dark. Actually, this is what I call dark. I don´t think I closed my eyes watching something for some time but I definitely did it here. But it is also very addictive. I am sure I will end the season by the end of the week

Haha, as it happened, I didn't have to talk him into it. It popped up on our Netflix screen on Saturday, and I asked hopefully if he'd be interested in checking out the first episode that I'd seen. We watched the first 9 episodes IN ONE DAY. Talk about a binge. Wilson Fisk (Kingpin) is an awesome character. Great villain. Episode 8 (I think that's it) is a classic.

I was happy to see Yukio (Rila Fukushima) on tonight's episode of Game of Thrones.

Yes, I noticed her too, towards the end of the episode. She has a very expressive and recognizable face, even without that extreme makeup and hair she sported in THE WOLVERINE. I hope she makes another appearance.

I was happy to see Yukio (Rila Fukushima) on tonight's episode of Game of Thrones. I missed the first two episodes...I think I am just going to wait til the end of the season. Rila Fukushima was in Arrow as well, doing some impressive fight scenes as well

Finally getting around to starting into the Wolf Hall mini-series. Excellent, so far. Wow, really enjoying Mark Rylance (I "had" to go back to check out last year's Tonys and his sweet little acceptance speech for Twelfth Night). Trying NOT to binge watch it because it's so short - the last episode aired here on PBS last night. Soooo much better than the Showtime series a few years ago. Damian Lewis is a far better Henry VIII than Jonathan Rhys Meyers. And I'm so glad to wipe the last season of Brody from my head, too, lol.
Meanwhile, Mad Men, what the hell, was NOT the next-to-last episode I was expecting. I figured they'd tidy up Peggy's story last night and focus on Don next week. Instead, no Peggy, Joan or Roger, but plenty of Don. And Pete. And Betty. And poor Sally. I think I'd like to see a Sally spin-off, just to see how that poor girl turns out.

Rylance is a whimsical guy. He likes to wear his favorite porkpie hat everywhere, even at the black-tie Tonys. The last shot of the season one finale of WOLF HALL was mesmerizing--the closeup of Rylance's eyes was devastating.

For some reason, I thought this was the whole thing.

My TV listings described this as Season One. So I'm hoping there will indeed be a Season Two that will be presented on PBS. The two-play stage adaptations of Hilary Mantel's historical novels, WOLF HALL and BRING UP THE BODIES, are currently on Broadway. So it would seem that any Season Two on PBS would also be entitled BRING UP THE BODIES. Annoying that we have to wait, though.

We get shows like Mad Men and Game of Thrones a few days after the US, so I'm wary of spoilers. Then again, we get the BBC dramas about a month earlier. I really liked Wolf Hall but I've forgotten the detail. I did like Damian Lewis as the king. I wasn't so keen on the new Poldark - it looks pretty but everything is so condensed that you don't have time to care about anyone or anything so about as far from Wolf Hall as you can get.
I'm looking forward to Jonathan Stange and Mr Norrell which is being trailed heavily as "coming soon". Remember when we were discussing it as a movie? It seems the movie options fell through several times which is a good thing as we get a 7-part series instead. Comments from a screening of the first two episodes are very positive. Luckily, I can't remember much from the book. The release may have been timed to coincide with the Waterloo bicentenary as that comes into the story.
Thinking of the Napoleonic wars, takes me on to Hornblower and how I'm enjoying the fluffy Forever with Captain Hornblower himself, Ioan Gruffudd, as the lead character. My only quibble is that after setting him up with a welsh accent and named for a welsh pirate, a few episodes in, it was stated that he was English and from London.

Don't worry, I don't feel spoiled. I'm just struggling to keep up and know I'm watching too much telly.

Watching too much but it's still not enough, I know that feeling. Damn you, good TV.

Catching up. I was pleased with the ending of Mad Men. Loved the Rylance look at the end of Wolf Hall. And I don't know if Narrows still checks in from time to time, but holy mother of home-erotic fantasy, Outlander. Very ... er, tastefully done, all in all. People thought the last 15 minutes of this weeks GoT was intense, that whole final episode of Outlander was 1000x more, albeit in a vastly different way. Phew.

Look out for Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell. It's very well done and surprisingly funny. Bertie Carvel is quite cute in this.

I can't tell you how many times I've watched that last Outlander episode (and who am I kidding, all the others), hard as it was because of the subject matter. Since I've read all eight books (twice!) I knew what was coming and I knew where to shut my eyes, but holy cow. This is the way I operate on stuff I love - the first time I watch to see what it's about, and then the second time and times after, I really concentrate on the other stuff. I'm sorry, but to me Jamie and Claire is one great love story, the way they sacrifice for each other! This show better get some Emmy love!!!! They've started filming season 2, based on the second book, which probably won't air until early next year (darn now those cable shows work!). It will have 13 episodes. And bring your tissues for season 2 also - I think I cried at almost every episode in season 1.
