My phone dropped out of my pocket and got run over I've had 7 phones - the first one was in my jacket pocket and I closed the car door on it. I had that one for a couple of years, but the next one, I lost at JFK. Then the next one just died, so I got another one, that I replaced after a while and gave to my niece. Then I closed a car door on the new phone (Yes, I did this TWICE) and then the next one was stolen, in which it took me a couple of days to actually notice it was missing, and the person that stole it bought $175 worth of stuff - videos, music, who knows what, charged to my phone, which Verizon thankfully wiped away (after giving me a HUGE hassle about not reporting it stolen immediately), but the girl that stole it gave the number to a whole bunch of people and even though I got a new phone, so she couldn't use the old one, I got calls and voicemail from strange people for 3 months after that. It was particularly annoying because they would say her name and I could never understand what the heck they were saying, but man, I wanted to find that girl and smack the crap out of her. The one I have now I've had for almost 3 years, which is actually a record for me at this point. Except that it's starting to fail, so I'm going to have to replace it soon.

Drop my phone all the time, amazing it still works.
Have dropped two different phones in the toilet..... once in the Paramus Park Mall ladies room and the other in a Pennsylvania ladies room while on vacation. We were able to save both scuba-phones but....they were in public toilets, so...yeah.
But they actually do work.

I have a big Grrrr! My oven stopped working as I was trying to make chocolate chip cookies! Had them on the sheets and then no heat in the oven. Ever try to make cookies in a toaster oven? I finally quit for the night, as even the toaster oven couldn't do the job very well.

I've not been around much due to work cr#p. I've been very happy on full time shifts in a call centre. Needed more money so decided to do what most of my colleagues do and take a second job. Found a job working from home assessing insurance claims. The call centre manager decided they are not happy to let me do a second job though. They say they are not aware of others in the office doing other jobs (bullsh;t). Just took a week off to do a training course with the new job away from home. Am being told to work a fortnight's notice in the call centre but am being picked up on everything I say or do. Am tempted to walk right now. I am so hurt and confused about why they are acting like this to me as they always praised my work for the past 19mths.

*headtilt* Unless the second job creates a conflict of interest with the first, what business is it of theirs anyway? I'm confused as to how or why they think they can prevent you from doing what you like in your free time. If they get their contracted hours from you the rest of your time is your own. If you took the week off as holiday time I'm confused as to what their issue is unless there's a clause in your contract about multiple jobs. Maybe call the job centre or citizen's advice and see if they can advise you as to your legal rights?

Everybody please, I need positive prayer, thoughts, karma, whatever your beliefs. My daughter, Kellie, is in the hospital with premature labor. She and baby Zachary stil have 10 weeks to go til he's 'cooked'.
They've got her on everything [mag sulfate, albuteral, demerol, etc, etc plus steroids for the babys' lungs].
We're all a little freaked and frightened right now.
Thanks Dee

Thanks for all the kind thoughts.
To update all y'all, labor is stopped. Kellie will be a full time guest at the hospital for 4 weeks. They'll probably let her home at Christmas and let nature take it's course because she'll be 34-36 ish weeks along.
All baby Zachary's vitals are fine. The neonatologist says he appears healthy and big for gestational age from all the sonogram measurements.
So, now we wait and try to keep Kellie and her little family's spirits up.
Thanks again for the outpouring of love and support from everyone here.

This is freakin´ great. I have been waiting for 6 months for Les Miz to have a premiere here and when it finally had...I got a gastric flu. Seriously, I thought I was gonna die...So instead of going in the day of the premiere, I will go to see it a week later or so. I seem to attract all kinds of trouble lately...an annoying cough for two weeks and now this
