I don´t think it was a rape. She kissed him back. It was just creepy because it was at Joffrey´s dead body. It felt a little out of character for Jamie at that point but her "You didn´t come back here fast enough" would make anybody angry (seriously, he was a prisoner and then lost his hand!). I am not defending his behaviour (No means no, and he should have stopped when she said that) but I don´t think he really forced her *shrugs* I really liked Daenerys last season. She turned into a kick ass woman but this year, she just keeps walking and walking and I just hope she will get there eventually Stannis is boring and the idea of him being a King is ridiculous. That guy has charisma of a dead rat. I guess that is the point but I think even his daughter is more interesting than him. I don´t mind Theon. I understand his storyline is barely mentioned in second and third book but they can hardly do that on the show. I am curious what happens to him more than I was before when he was just, sort of, there Oh, yes, Jon Snow. Everybody is mean to him, he suffers at home, he suffers on the Wall, he suffers outside the Wall... He looks like a lost puppy most of the time

I would like this Jamie back please:

After several mostly uneven episodes, I thought Mad Men ended the first half of its final season on a high note this week. And it took this episode for me to finally realize that "Bert Cooper" was played by a 2x Tony-winner (one play, one musical), Robert Morse. He had quite the scene at the end.

I'm going to sing the praises of Louie. I've watched it every season, enjoying its quirky if uneven humor. But this season it has truly found its voice and told some really touching (and funny) stories about parenting and courtship and love, and - most interestingly - reflecting on how past experiences lead to how we are who we are today. To that end, there have been flashbacks using younger actors - very refreshing.
This week's episode was 90 minutes long - I thought my DVR had screwed up because it's normally a 30-minute show, although this season, they've been running episodes back-to-back in order to get the required number in before the Emmy deadline. Ended up being 90 minutes of the most compelling TV viewing since the last few episodes of True Detective (okay, I know, that's not too long ago ...). Briefly, Louie spots his 12-year-old daughter smoking pot, leading to a long and intense flashback to his own middle school days. I almost wanted to share it with my own middle schooler, but .... it likely wouldn't have registered (since not much does). With a surprising, and great, guest turn by Jeremy Renner as young Louie's charismatic dope dealer.

Amid the usual carnage of last night's Game of Thrones finale, I found my eyes tearing up with one line: "Farewell, little brother". Then it was back to the murders and incest. Many developments and a few more characters gone that I'll miss next season. I can do without killer zombie skeletons coming out of the ground again. That's sort of where I draw the line on believability, LOL.

We were talking for an hour afterwards about what the characters could be up to next. The "little brother" bit got to me as well. Now we get to look forward to HBO porn with the last season of True Blood.

I really hope it's not as painful of a slog as the last season(s) of Dexter. I hope the True Blood writers have a more unifying story-line for the final season instead of various random threads that seem concocted just to keep the different actors occupied. I'm starting to think these one-season shows have it right. Speaking of which, I'm looking forward to the Fargo finale tomorrow night.

I have the same problem with True Blood. They went off on this lurid tangent but I was so involved in the characters that I stuck with it last season and now just have to wait to see how it finally resolves. There are times when I think all the HBO writers are 14 year old boys. If there is a way to include swearing, excrement, or a sex act in it goes in purely for shock value whether it helps the story or not ... sort of "Oh look at what we got away with".

Speaking of Game of Thrones, it seems Hugh had a "guest appearance" (actually, an interview from during the DoFP junket) on the "Last Night's Watch" youtube show discussing last night's episode. I'd seen his answer to the question of whether he watches the show in an article somewhere, but a short clip shows up here at 16:30 or so. He's playing with his mustache a little bit as he talks about his "addictive personality". I wonder if we'll see any mustache twiddling from Blackbeard.

I just finished watching "Under the Dome", an american sci-fi series based on a Stephen King book. It was quite engrossing with quite a few twists and the acting's decent. My main issue with it is that noone seems to make any plans or behave in a way I'd expect them to under those circumstances.

Looking forward to it but we may be close to loss of interest just this reason. If you haven't watched it, check out "Haven" and "Defiance". Love science fiction but it needs to maintain some form of reality.

I think it´s Taylor Kitsch who needs the boost. Garrett is in the beginning and done nothing "big" except Tron so yes, this could help but not in the way "My movie carreer went down so I need a respectable TV show to get it back" way And btw., I am very disappointed Taylor´s movies didn´t do well, he is a very nice guy

Yeah, I thought Taylor was great on Friday Night Lights (and not even bad in Origins), so maybe a "serious" TV role will come through for him and help him now. BTW, that article mentions there may be four "leads", and since people have been whining a bit about no female characters, they speculate these three will be three of them with another who is a woman.

Yes, I know I am a little anti fan in this - I love DW and I like Sherlock but both are ran by Moffat so it takes forever for both shows to get another season

If you haven't watched it, check out "Haven" and "Defiance". Love science fiction but it needs to maintain some form of reality. I've just finished Haven. It makes me want to visit Nova Scotia. Not to mention the more shallow reasons for watching it ( for example). I'm going through withdrawal so need to watch the gag reels and other promotional stuff. What next? I'm also enjoying a 4-part detective series called "Hinterland". From the name, you wouldn't realise that it's set in Aberystwyth (West Wales) and the characters speak a mix of english and welsh (with subtitles). Welsh is used for greetings, casual conversations and such but for anything important, they switch to english. What I like about it is that it has regular people doing bad things under difficult circumstances rather than psychopaths.
